The Maestro Project

Only 1 out of 5 new businesses survive the first five years of business. The Maestro Project, our in-house education and productivity center, was developed to help entrepreneurs beat these odds. A comprehensive, three-pronged division that offers classes, coaching and mentoring, The Maestro Project enhances performance and ensures productivity by helping entrepreneurs overcome obstacles to jump start and maintain business success. Being an entrepreneur can be lonely.  Having allies and resources to turn to for advice, support or to test an idea is critical to your company’s growth.  The Maestro Project, led by executive coach and management consultant Don’Angelo Bivens, knows what entrepreneurs need at different stages in their development and provides it with very focused classes, coaching and mentoring. Classes Offered

Relationships are the cornerstone of Maestro Projects’ ability to provide interactive and quality education for Shiners and fellow entrepreneurs.

We build alliances and manage relationships with colleges, universities, business leaders and foundations. From a mix of full-day, half-day and hourly classes to seminars and semester-long courses curricula is developed with our education partners to hone in on areas like business development, raising capital, marketing, people management, productivity and technology. We aim to supplement and strengthen skill sets the community determines are critical to its progress. Every course and class is interactive and provides applicable information to address the needs of startup and growth venture entrepreneurs and assist them in advancing to the next level.

And to ensure that you are not going it alone, we’ve also created an internship program that provides Shiners access to interns through our academic partners.

Coaching

Our coaches utilize a five-step process to help entrepreneurs define their vision, set and realize objectives, assess and build skills and stay on track when their performance falters.

Shiners have the opportunity to hire Maestro Project coaches for one-on-one or small group coaching sessions at an affordable price. Large group coaching sessions are also held for the entire Sunshine community.  Topics will be based on Shiners’ interests and needs.  They include:

• Define your business strategy
• Develop a career and life game plan
• Identify pertinent learning and action-oriented goals
• Avoid burnout by maintaining a healthy work-life balance
• Achieve personal mastery via self-awareness

Mentoring

The Maestro Project works closely with industry and business leaders to support Shiners in various areas of business from marketing to finance to legal matters.

For those who want or need guidance in a particular area or field of business, we will match you with a mentor.  Mentorships are informal relationships. Our mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and many of them are or were former Shiners.

The Maestro Project’s mentors serve entrepreneurs in various stages of business and helps them find the support and guidance they need to build productive, meaningful lives and to create sustainable businesses.
